By law your
Financial Advisor now requires to be licensed by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) either as a provider or as a representative of a provider.
To confirm that your advisor
is licensed with the FSCA you need either their business name or their FSP number. This should
usually be displayed on their letterheads, business cards and websites. If not,
you should ask your advisor for their FSP number.
Once you have this number, enter it in the appropriate section of the FSCA website (click here to go there now) and your search will confirm the advisor's status.
