The only criterion is that you are licensed with the FSB either as a principal Financial Services Provider, or as an authorised representative of one. back to top

 

Q. How much does it cost to appear on this website?
R 99.18 (Incl. VAT) per month by debit order or R 892.62 (Incl. VAT) by credit card for twelve months. The credit card option renders a 25% discount on the monthly option. back to top

BY DEBIT ORDER: A pro-rata amount will be processed immediately (calculated on the number of days remaining in the month). Thereafter debit orders will be processed on the first business day of each month.

Most people (including many website designers that develope individual websites for clients) grossly underestimate the time, expertise and resources required to successfully market a website. It is a full-time, ongoing job. They also do not realise that Website construction and Website marketing are two completely different fields which website developers usually do not have the capacity to execute. Nevertheless, if you do have a website our internal statistics have shown that click-throughs from your listing on our site to your website are substantial (justifying your investment in your own website). back to top
 

Q. Won't certain advisors always appear at the top of the list on the initial search results page?
No, we have an algorithm in place which orders the list in a totally random fashion so that every advisor has the chance to be at the top of the list. back to top
 

Q. As more and more advisors are listed - won't my listing get lost amidst the crowds?
We aim to limit the number of advisors that appear on the initial search results page. This will be monitored on an ongoing basis and achieved through the application of a series of progressive filters. We have specifically not broken the dial code area in the main search into suburbs, as we do not believe that choosing the broker down the road is necessarily the best way to find the most suitable advisor. Bear in mind too, that in a traditional directory where all that is supplied is a name and number, a large selection of advisors is much more of a problem. Our advisors can be easily differentiated according to their offerings by the astute web visitor. back to top
 

Q. Our firm employs several advisors - how do we list?
We have tried to give this website a very personalised flavour. People want to deal with people, not corporations. It is our unique blend of the impersonal interface of the internet with the highly personalised advisor profiles that has attributed to our success. Every advisor is therefore listed individually.

Q. I am very selective of the clients I take on - how will this site work for me?
You can narrow the clients that will reach you by selecting on your advisor details page the minimum level of new business accepted (monthly and lump sum).
 

Q.Does FindanAdvisor offer personal financial advice to clients for fees or commission?
Absolutely not! This would obviously lead to a conflict of interests. Although our Director is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and freelance financial journalist, he uses his experience and expertise solely to market and develope this site. back to top

Photographs are optional, but we believe that it is in your best interests to have one. If you wish we can load your company logo instead of a personal photo. back to top
