No, I wasn't but was introduced by my advisor at the time and still grateful

My clients come to my office

What do you love most about being a financial advisor

Meeting people and giving great service so that the client will want to come back to me.

 

Would you recommend becoming a financial advisor as a career for school-leavers, and why?

Yes after studying and getting a qualification in finacials and also getting a feeling for working with people

 

What qualities should South Africans be looking for in their financial advisor?

Quality service and honesty

 

What is the biggest challenge facing financial advisors today?

Economic ups and downs and to remain positive

 

What aspects of financial advising do you focus on most?

Life and investing at retirement

My clients cover the whole spectrum, eg all income groups, ages and occupations

Not starting with a definite plan early enough in their working life

No I believe not as the people born before a certain time still prefer have a face to face relationship with their advisor
