Would you recommend becoming a financial advisor as a career for school-leavers, and why?
No. It is mentally tough. Get some experience in a salaried environment first. The ones I see start to early fall out of the industry or have a nervous breakdown few years into their career

Sincerity, Honesty, Numerical Skills, Analytical, Open mindedness, Empathy,
What is the biggest challenge facing financial advisors today?
Increase in compliance and non-income generating hours spent on paperwork
What aspects of financial advising do you focus on most?
Detailed comprehensive planning. Keeping existing clients happy and in the loop

Auckland & Singapore outside SA. Cape Town within SA (I am in Pta)
From your financial advising experience, if you could cite one of the biggest reasons financial goals, what would it be?
Not using a budget tracking app like Toshl and not applying discipline

Do you think the coming wave of automation in the next few years will steal some financial advisor jobs and why/why not?
Yes it will steal some unsophisticated clients as they do not value good advice and like shortcuts
What is your opinion on Bitcoin?
Bitcoin has a future but it is in beginning of its life cycle thus too difficult to predict.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Flying, Mountain Biking and Gym
What is the most interesting thing on your bucket list?
Going to the Oshkosh airshow in the US for a whole week
